Hungary (ハンガリー, Hangarī) is a main character that appears in Cancel A Format. She is the only woman that is considered to be a main character on the cast. If the heroine enters a relationship with her, it would be one of the two possible sapphic relationships within the game, the other being Belarus' route.
The heroine first meets her when she, along with Belarus, intimidates an assailant that targets the heroine when she wanders through the town at night. After checking in on her, they part ways, though they meet again soon after when the heroine is enrolled in W Academy- this time, under the guise of being a man. The heroine initially pretends to be a man in front of Hungary, but she instantly recognises Rare for who she really is, and assures her, in private, that it is okay to be herself around her. She is therefore one of the few cast members of Cancel A Format who knows of the heroine's true gender from the first day.

In the beginning of the story, as Rare wanders around in the neighbouring town that borders the sea, she comes to a restaurant, and is being harassed by a random heckler until Hungary comes along to scare him off. When the heckler does not leave, Belarus joins in and calls him out, and together, they chase him off. Once he leaves, Hungary checks on Rare to see if see if she is okay after the incident. She worries over the protagonist, because she is wandering around so late at night, but after the heroine insists that she is fine, Hungary bids her farewell, and leaves with Belarus.
After they meet again at W Academy, Hungary is one of the few close friends that the protagonist has, due to the both of them being women. Since she is one of the few characters in the game who is guaranteed to know Rare's true identity in every playthrough, she plays a central role in keeping her gender a secret from the cast, and works with France to craft gender-appropriate clothing for Rare's alternate identity.

- Hungary only has 2 CGs. In a tie between Belarus, Sealand, Spain, South Italy, and Turkey, she possesses the second-smallest number of CGs that are unique to her in the game, second only to Liechtenstein, who has 1 CG.
- Hungary makes no appearance in any other CG within Cancel A Format.
